I'm so busy!!!

I believe that time management is important. If you can make a list and stick to it you can get everything you need to get done done.

Yeah, you ever have a notion come back and bite you in the ass?

Welcome to my world.

I'm so behind on EVERYTHING. I can't seem to catch up. I need to give up all social outings until school is over and that way I'll be able to keep my house clean and get my homework/reading done AND finish knitting projects on time.

Yeah, like that's going to happen.

I have been knitting. I know I keep saying that, but I don't produce any pictures. Well, the batteries in my camera are dead. I'm not paying more than IKEA prices for batteries and I don't have the time to go to Ikea. Do you see how that works out for me?

I did get lucky on one project. A pair of socks. I made them for a co-worker/friend who was having a hard month. It was a birthday gift that I actually finished on time. She took pictures for me. I made them out of Jitterbug by Colinette in the Castagna colorway. I started them on Saturday night and they were done by Wednesday evening. Granted, they aren't knee socks, but I do go to school all weekend, and have to sleep, plus do laundry and work full time....I don't think I manged to buy any groceries that week. So, I was impressed by this feat of mine.

I hear people rave about yarn all the time and think. It's yarn! But OMG this yarn was so soft and smooth. It was a real pleasure to work with. So much so that I ordered a hank for myself from Cucumberpatch. It isn't much less than the price in the store here after the conversion to dollars from pounds so I'm not sure that I'd bother wiht that again, but their Point 5 is still super cheap! And Daniel is great! I've got him on the look out for Addi Lace needles. I really hope he starts to carry them. Incidentally, Cucumberpatch also has an ebay store as well.

One last look:

In other knitting news. It seems like the Thursday night group has unofficially bitten the dust. If it has I will accept that, but I'm really sad to see it go. Let's see what happens this week

I started the Opal knee socks, but after a consultation with Dixie I discovered I'vd done it wrong...also, the Opal, not such a soft yarn. Not sure I want to make knee socks out of yarn that isn't a pleasure to work with. I may have to put it aside until I make a decision. Plus the hank of Jitterbug is calling to me...and all that Cherry Tree Hill I bought last year. One pair at a time, right?

I also picked up the Bump sweater again. I've reseamed on of the sleeves and will do the other one tonight. I've settled on adding the gusset to the underarm seams to increase the space. As for the cut bit I just seamed right over it. Hopefully, that won't unravel. But she's only going to be pregnant for another three months and it's in the 80s here so she probably won't be able to wear it at all. Yeah, that's great!

And last, but certainly not least, I went to A Mano's Spring Sale yesterday. I was conservative. I got yarn to make a baby blanket for my bother's baby to be in chocolate brown and pink (per the invite to the shower which I can't attend), I got two hanks of Koigu to try the fingerless mitts again, and some eyelash stuff to make a scarf for my classmate whose husband transferred all my data from my old hard drives to the new My Book I got for free. Sometimes good things to happen, even to me!

Pretty socks!! The baby blanket yarn you got is gorgeous. and..I would go to Atwater tonight if I did not have that long case at the end of the day! I don't think it's bitten the dust *sniff* ;)

I can't make it tonight either; I'm fighting a cold and although I have no problem with bringing it to my office I'd rather not infect ye lot. ;)

I know how busy you are, but it seems even worse when you write it all down! You must let me know if you've finished the bump sweater.
