Finally, a new post!
Yes, I know. I’ve been slacking on the entries here. I’m sleepy and busy and tired, and don’t feel like writing….is that a good enough excuse? No, huh? Oh well, it’s all I got.
Anywho, I’ve been knitting up a storm. I had it all planned out. The witty title, the stunning pictures, all of it….obviously none of it happened. I’m talking about the mother’s day cuffs. I finished them all and got them out in time but NO ONE has received theirs. UGH! I really hope this stuff didn’t get “lost in the mail”…..cause, I didn’t track any of it. No confirmations at all. I’m going to let go and let God on this one. If no one gets their cuff it just wasn’t meant to be. And if I can ever get my aunt to send me the pictures I took of the cuffs with her camera, then I’ll have to do the ultra witty post I had in mind. All I’ve got now is the knowledge that they’re complete and were mailed in enough time for mother’s day. If they ever reach their destinations, and the women call to say thanks I’ve got no idea, but as soon as I know, you’ll know. Here are the colors of thread and some of the beads I used for the cuffs:
I attempted felting again. You know the fuzzy feet for my brother? He spied mine and requested a pair of his own…more of a challenge than a request, and I made them. They’ve gone thru two washings, and I’m not sure if that’s enough and I’ll have to wait for him to return from NY to try them on. Here’s what they looked like in relation to my fully felted ones.
This was what they looked like after one washing...I did the second washing yesterday...hopefully, they'll fit his feet and I'll be done with them.
And here is the final version of the French Market Bag, it does NOT look like the picture from Knitty. I think they should put the same disclaimer on all of their projects that they did with that cat from last season.
And I regaled you with all of my yarn shopping… I’ve got enough yarn for projects to last me thru the school program I’m preparing for. Yeah, that’s a good reason for all the yarn acquisitions of late, projects to last thru the next two years! Here is some of the stuff I got. I'll get to other projects later.
From Elegance:
This is how the sale was handled, obviously I didn't get the 100% off....
It's hand painted Brown Sheep, mohair wool blend I believe. I've been thinkig about this yarn for months. I want to make a scarf for my aunt out of it, but not one pattern I've tried looks good, **sigh** isn't that always the way?
This stuff is gorgeous. I've been looking at is on Webs for a while now, they have a peach, hmmmmm....but no black, I was very excited to see the black! So soooooft, so silky, so pretty.
From A Mano....
It was all about the socks that day. I started the ones I'm making out of the Jawool. I'm not sure I'll make it, but so far so good. I tired to work with the Sockotta, but it doesn't feel right, I'll work that out too. Only one of the Sockotta balls is not earmarked for a project for me.
Well, that's all I've got to tell today. Hope you are all well.

I can't freaking believe you
deprived the general blog viewing public from your beautiful beaded knit cuffs. I guess the pics of the strung up threads will have to do. Those look pretty as well. I am sure the recipients will be thrilled WHEN they get them.
My own half assed attempt was just
holey, not pretty. Oh well!
