Quick & Dirty
Okay, it's been a month since I've had the time and inclination to post. Well, a little more than a month, but I'm still here, still busy and still waiting for things to happen.
As a way to cope with the waiting--I'm not good at it...it looks like I am on the outside, but inside I'm seething and antsy and high blood pressurey--anyway, as a way to cope with the waiting, I knit.
In the last month I have:
1. Finished Grandmas's Shawl
2. Finished the Monkey Socks
3. Started a Shawl for my aunt who is coming to support me during the surgery
4. Made a pair of mittens for the daughter of the controller at school
5. Almost completed a pair of Embossed Leaves Socks for my lecture teacher who has been replaced
6. Started a sweater for my father's 60th birthday
7. gotten 3/4ths of the way thru the Wobbly Circles bag
And in non-knitting news I have started the last module of my DMS program, and landed a surgery date.
Surgery is Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 7:30 am. Amazing, really. I fear that something will go wrong and thwart my forward movement (see above about waiting and it's affect on my BP), but I'm trying to think positive and stay calm, so I knit some more.
I don't have any pictures of the finished objects or the ones in process. I will do my best to get those taken and uploaded as soon as possible because I like blogs with pictured AND I got my invite to Ravelry. It's really very cool, but will take me some time (read: a LOT of time) to get all of my stash photographed and uploaded....guess it's a good thing I'm not concerned with taking artsy professional photos. Snap and go....bad lighting and all. Maybe I can do a drawer or bin a day until I get to the monster ones. We'll see how it goes.
That's all I've got for you.....Send me good vibes...just 8 days to go!
